Tcsh is the default shell that all users get when they first login to Spoon or Matrix.
Tcsh is one of the more basic shells available for you to use. It does however have some features worth noting, namely command line completion to finish the names of any files or programs by simply pressing the TAB key, and command line editing.
Use a different shell ;)
At least bash.
But if you're adventurous, you could try something like zsh.
