Matrix is a Sun E450 - a massive beast of a machine. It's purple and sits in the Maths department.

Role
Matrix runs services such as Apache, IRC, Mailman, MySQL and RT.
Its also the backup login server - this means that if Spoon is not available that you could use it instead.
