Quick Start

Please note that our Jabber server is currently in the trial stage. It might be unavailable at times, and connection details might change. We apologise for any inconviniences this will cause.

1. To start using Netsoc Jabber IM, download and install a Jabber client. We recommend and support Psi, which is available for Windows, Linux, and OS X. To use Jabber in TCD Labs, you can download the zip distribution of Psi and unpack it onto the d: drive. We will provide a better labs solution soon.
2. Your username and password has been supplied in your welcome mail. If you don't have them, please contact the helpdesk.
3. If connecting from outside college, that is enough. If connecting from college, please refer to the tutorial on the connection details you need to set up.
