Jabber Help Docs
These are the help pages for Netsoc's Jabber service. All you need to know to talk to other users, use legacy IM networks (i.e. MSN, AIM, etc.), and more.
Why Use Jabber?
Well, because Jabber is the best way to chat to your friends in this day and age. Jabber is completely and utterly free: free to use, ad-free, free to hack, free to develop. It works everywhere, even on Trinity networks. You can still chat to all your MSN/AIM/ICQ/whatever friends with no need to get special applications, like Trillian -- any Jabber client will do. Most of those clients are free, and they're developed to run almost everywhere: Windows, OS X, Unix, Linux, PalmOS, Web, there are even clients to run on your smartphone!
If that's not enough, your Netsoc Jabber account will stay with you for life. Even when you leave college your account will still be valid, so you've no danger of loosing your contacts.
