Another great game is ~mowse/bin/BattleWorm. Up to 4 players simultaenously.
fortune displays a fortune cookie.
Type dart [station] to get DART times from Pearse to any other station in the next two hours. If you're going into town, type bin/dart [station1] [station2].
Similarily, if you want bus times, use the bus command, eg bus 32a.

Type dict to run the dictionary command. Use with a word or an option to get definitions, synonyms, etc.
There is also a full dictionary file in /usr/share/lib/dict/words
To see the top of the nerd pile, type logins to see who has logged in the most times, and hours to see the most hours that people have been logged in for. Put a -a after either of these to list all users. This is a similar output to this website.
- rey replies to the last person that sent you a hey.
- hl or heylog views the last few heys sent to you.
- heyhere causes all heys to be sent to the current terminal.
- aun and tel give user information about matrix and tcd users.
- o2sms sends an sms using o2's website (registration required).
- hogs shows who's using the most disk space.
- df shows matrix's disk usage.
- tt gives your timetable or the timetable of most matrix users.
- cal shows a calendar.
- units allows for conversions between different units.
- bc is a calculator.
- gprolog is a prolog interpretor.
- ~conall/bin/usr gives a list of users on matrix and their course.
- ~conormcd/bin/friends show a list of the last time people in your friends file have logged in.
- ~conormcd/bin/ict1 is a graphical representation of who's logged in to the ict hut.
- ~conormcd/bin/eiffel is an eiffel interpretor.
- ~tobinjt/bin/oi is an alternative to hey.
- ~robb/bin/whoison a nice (redbrick-style) user program.
